O.B. down the left tree line from tee to green. A little to the right of the fairway cut is a row of trees that could force you to play a 50 yard second shot if you go to far over. To the right of that is a sidehill lie with a tree lined alley to go through, over, or around. You'll need to fly this green, a mound in front will slow or stop any attempts to roll one on.
Miss the fairway to the left if you have to miss it, but not too far left or you'll be out of bounds. Stray to the right and you'll have to work around the three Cypress trees protecting that side. A shallow, but very soft, green awaits your approach. Go long and you will have a tricky third shot IF you stay in bounds.
A long, mean par 3 with a small, round green circled by River Birch and guarded in front by a mound that again prevents you from rolling it on. Long, left, and right can all be very costly. Play this hole for a par and you might get birdie. Play for a birdie and you may card a 6.
Down the right side is O.B. for the first 250 yards and a fairly severe sidehill lie for the final 210. Down the left side is tree trouble for the first 170 yards and O.B the rest of the way. The green is wide but quite shallow and guarded on the right by four River Birch. It sits on a mound so don't miss it left or long.
Course management is key here. A 250 yards tee shot down the middle will trickle down directly behind the Cedar tree so plan accordingly. From 150 yards out you'll need 185 yards to get up the hill to a narrow green closely gaurded on the left by a screen of 10 more Cedar trees.
Hitting the hilltop fairway off the tee is a must. A little left is tree trouble, a lot left is a lot of tree trouble. To the right is a severe sidehill lie with a likely blind shot through or over a nasty line of trees. If your approach to this postage stamp green goes a little bit long here, it will go a LOT long, and the shot coming back can be very difficult to say the least.
This is one of the toughest par 4s in the St. Louis area. Missing the fairway to the right will put you on a sidehill working over or around a pair of Persimmon trees. Missing the fairway to the left will require a long, shaped shot down the tree line to a hard, narrow green heavily guarded on the left side by three large Box Elders. If you are going to miss this green miss it right. Long will once again cost you a couple of strokes.
Like #6, this fairway is atop a hill. The safe play is a middle iron off the tee then a wedge into the shallow green, but the chance for an eagle putt looms large! If you're going to try for this green off the tee, you'd better hit it. Right or left could be tricky and a little long could easily be O.B.
This par 3 measures 150 yards but it plays only about 135 yards due to the elevation of the tee. Miss it short or pin high and a little left and you'll hear a splash. Miss it right or long and you'll have an easyish shot to the middle of the green and a one putt for par.
